My first encounter with silversmithing was evening classes at Harrow College of Art at the age of 16.  I dabbled for a few years but my tools were relegated to the back of a cupboard when marriage and children came along.  My interest was re-ignited in my late forties, attending a number of courses that extended my knowledge of silversmithing and introducing me to modern day materials and techniques.   Although I have had no formal training,  the courses were taught by internationally acclaimed tutors who are at the top of their field.
